30 Weeks Later!

Hello Everybody, 

This week is the start of transfer week! Which means last week we spent a lot of time working on the transfer board with President Scheltinga, and figuring out who to move around, who to keep in what areas, and all the other considerations that go into transfers. It seems like there is more and more each transfer, hahaha. Elder Black and I will be going to a new area, but keeping our current assignment. We are going to be blue washing the area that has the mission home in it, up in North Ogden. Since it was just sisters there we will be blue washing, so it'll be a new experience for the both of us, but we couldn't be more excited! 


With us moving areas this week, we spent a lot of our proselytizing time tying up loose ends, and preparing it for the white wash. We set up a lot of visits with stake and ward leaders for the new elders to meet, and set up a lot of lessons so they can hopefully meet the teaching pool within the first week. The sad part is that I spent 30 weeks in this area, so I feel like I know it pretty well, and it was sad to say goodbye to some of the recent converts, people we are teaching, and especially the members who were great to work with!

Hello Everyone, I hope you all have been doing great. Happy Easter as well! I'm sorry I have missed you these past few weeks. The days go by faster than I can keep track of.  The transfer is officially over. I knew I was staying a fire kindler, just switching my companion. Elder Mecham is gone, which is sad. I really enjoyed having him as a companion. Elder Robertson is my new companion, and he is from Texas. I’m really looking forward to this next transfer, it will be my last as a fire kindler. Which honestly is pretty sad. It has definitely grown on me alot. But I have already learned so much from the missionaries I have been with, and have so much I want to apply to an area once I have one.  Last week Elder Gong came to our mission. He came on Saturday. It was great because the whole mission was at a church in Logan. The only time the mission can do that is when an apostle comes.   Hello Everyone,  I hope you all had a great week. Mine was super busy so I’ll just do a short update.  Saturday we had an exciting mission announcement! For some time now we have worked closely with President and Sister Scheltinga on the inquisition of two zones in the mission, taking our mission from 9 zones, down to 7. The idea first came up about 4-5 months ago, when the Holleys were still here. However, since the Holley's service was coming to an end, they thought it would be best to wait for the Scheltingas for such changes. These changes required a lot of prayer, planning, and consideration. Finally we had finished the planning, and presented the changes on a mission wide Zoom Saturday evening. Of Lions, Dragons, and Turkish Delight

How is it going everyone! Sorry I have been bad at my emails recently, things have been crazy, but great as always. You're probably wondering why my email is titled "Of Lions, Dragons, and Turkish Delight". Recently Elder Dickson and I came across a podcast series produced by Deserted podcasts, and written by S. Michael Wilcox. It is a comprehensive breakdown of CS Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia, tied into gospel truths and principles. So all week anytime we are driving, eating at home, or really anything that isn't standard missionary work, we listen to it. I highly recommend it. I had one of the most interesting experiences while finding this week. I was on an exchange with our district leader in his area. We knocked on a lot of doors, and towards the end of the night we finished off on a street....like you normally would.
