I hope you all had a great week. Mine was super busy so I’ll just do a short update. 


Saturday we had an exciting mission announcement! For some time now we have worked closely with President and Sister Scheltinga on the inquisition of two zones in the mission, taking our mission from 9 zones, down to 7. The idea first came up about 4-5 months ago, when the Holleys were still here. However, since the Holley's service was coming to an end, they thought it would be best to wait for the Scheltingas for such changes. These changes required a lot of prayer, planning, and consideration. Finally we had finished the planning, and presented the changes on a mission wide Zoom Saturday evening. Following President Scheltinga introducing the realignment, I was fortunate enough to present the changes to the mission. 


We posted the transfer board, with all the significant changes: 20 departing missionaries, 20 arriving missionaries, 2 zones dissolved, and 4 districts added.


That’s all I have for this week. It was super busy. I’ll make sure I make more time next week for an update.

Daniel 3:14-18

14) Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? 

15) Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands? 

16) Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. 

17) If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. 

18) But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up."

Hello Everyone, I hope you all have been doing great. Happy Easter as well! I'm sorry I have missed you these past few weeks. The days go by faster than I can keep track of.  The transfer is officially over. I knew I was staying a fire kindler, just switching my companion. Elder Mecham is gone, which is sad. I really enjoyed having him as a companion. Elder Robertson is my new companion, and he is from Texas. I’m really looking forward to this next transfer, it will be my last as a fire kindler. Which honestly is pretty sad. It has definitely grown on me alot. But I have already learned so much from the missionaries I have been with, and have so much I want to apply to an area once I have one.  Last week Elder Gong came to our mission. He came on Saturday. It was great because the whole mission was at a church in Logan. The only time the mission can do that is when an apostle comes. Of Lions, Dragons, and Turkish Delight

How is it going everyone! Sorry I have been bad at my emails recently, things have been crazy, but great as always. You're probably wondering why my email is titled "Of Lions, Dragons, and Turkish Delight". Recently Elder Dickson and I came across a podcast series produced by Deserted podcasts, and written by S. Michael Wilcox. It is a comprehensive breakdown of CS Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia, tied into gospel truths and principles. So all week anytime we are driving, eating at home, or really anything that isn't standard missionary work, we listen to it. I highly recommend it. I had one of the most interesting experiences while finding this week. I was on an exchange with our district leader in his area. We knocked on a lot of doors, and towards the end of the night we finished off on a street....like you normally would.
