O death, where is thy sting?
Hello Everyone,
I hope you all have been doing great. Happy Easter as well! I'm sorry I have missed you these past few weeks. The days go by faster than I can keep track of.
The transfer is officially over. I knew I was staying a fire kindler, just switching my companion. Elder Mecham is gone, which is sad. I really enjoyed having him as a companion. Elder Robertson is my new companion, and he is from Texas. I’m really looking forward to this next transfer, it will be my last as a fire kindler. Which honestly is pretty sad. It has definitely grown on me alot. But I have already learned so much from the missionaries I have been with, and have so much I want to apply to an area once I have one.
Last week Elder Gong came to our mission. He came on Saturday. It was great because the whole mission was at a church in Logan. The only time the mission can do that is when an apostle comes. Definitely not something that happens often. Elder Gong spoke a lot about different aspects of missionary work. Such as methods of finding new people to teach, a testimony of the Living Christ, taking care of your companions, and Holiness to the Lord (focusing on our missionary purpose going beyond full time mission service). We also had other speakers like Elder Taylor from the area Presidency, and Sister Spannus in the young women's general presidency. I also got to sing in the choir, which was amazing (I can't sing).
This past week was great as always. We tore it up with exchanges. We started in Ogden, then went to Brigham City, then Preston, and finished the week off in Logan. It was Elder Mechams last week as a kindler, so he is going back to being a Spanish missionary. Like I mentioned, I'll get to be with Elder Robertson and I'm really looking forward to it.
That was my week. I hope you all have an amazing week, and enjoy General Conference. Try inviting someone to watch it. Something I learned is that conferences are a big way people become interested in, and hear about the church.
Love you all, talk to you next week!
Elder Glenn
Scripture of the Week
Revelation 1:5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.
